Re: Happy Saint Georges Day Huzzahhh

Not allowed to fly a flag on national England day. That's odd. The USA is a bit flag crazy on the 4th of July. Here its OK to celebrate being independent of England. When I lived in England from September 1972 to August 1973 (I was 11-12 years old) , I don't remember celebrating Saint Georges day an...

I'm beginning to think that the fates that kept me from volunteering to mod on AVEN have done me a favor  Totally nothing to do with this thread but I see apostive has a yawn icon ... been looking for that for a long time ...   Although the yawn motion makes it look like goi...

Carrying on with scientific research results At 09:30 am this morning I visited the doctor who performed a colon check and despite him chuckling as I bent to one side after he had seen the great big W's tattood on each arse cheek, he said everything was fine. So the scientific results today disspro...

One of my favorite is the acapella group, Street Corner Symphony, singing Leonard Cohen's Hallelujah song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Toga5cWRi0k&list=FLpwh7upEph8MpGo2oFJRvGw&index=8 Although I don't know if it counts as a music video. Its just a performance they did on the TV show, The...

Re: Am I Asexual?

But the examples you list are folks questioning if they are asexual not claiming to be asexual. Now if the answers to these questions were inaccurate I would be worried it was a trend but most answers I see on AVEN and other places do seem to hold true to the AVEN forum definition "someone who ...

Re: Asexual phone sex

I have never had phone sex. The first time I heard about it, it didn't make sense to me or appeal to me at all. Still doesn't appeal to me but I can at least make sense of it. Even if I were sexual I would probably not want phone sex just because I'm not comfortable on phones in general and doing so...

I vaguely remember hearing the term asexual on the groups soc.women.lesbian-and-bi and soc.motss (members of the same sex) in the 90's after I came out as lesbian So I just did a search on it (these groups are now google groups while they used to be newsgroups) and discovered this quote from soc.wom...

I'm not seriously looking for a life pertner (is that like a cowboy partner??) and even if I were how much money they make is not at the top of my list as an important factor. If you are advertising on this forum, an asexuality forum, you should really give us a link to all those rich asexuals

Re: Meetup.com RSVP rant

I'm not sure why the meetup organizer chose 20 but I like that limit as most of the time with a 20 count the hike ends up being 9 to 12 people. Its no fun leading much more than 15 people for me. The crowd gets spread out and I, the leader, have to do lots of counting and going back and forth to mak...

Meetup.com RSVP rant

Anyone use meetup.com here? I use it. And I'm getting really tired of folks who RSVP Yes for events and then one or two days before the event change it to No. I am hosting an event and last week 20 people had RSVPed Yes (20 is the limit for folks coming on the hike) and 18 people were on the waiting...

Actually I hadn't seen the election since I rarely check the announcements. I won't be going for it. I wouldn't want to moderate two forums and I don't really have the time free. I may transfer to a new position at work and need my mental energy for that.

I went on a hike to Morgan Territory, west of Oakland, California, on Saturday. It was a solo hike and I loved it. Asexuality doesn't affect my daily life at work hardly ever. But it does come up on occasion in my social life in the lesbian community. I only have one lonely experience to talk about and I'm not sure it fits in with what you ask above. I did not come to identify as asexual till the middle of my last relationship with a sexual woman. We shagged before I realized (confirmed?) my asexuality. I had hoped that sex would come naturally o...

Excellent that you get to visit your grandpop. My grandparents passed away long ago. I tried fishing once.
