Hello and welcome. I don't really get involved in projects, but good luck to yours. There's also the Italian (http://www.asexuality.org/it/) and Spanish (http://www.asexuality.org/sp/) websites/forums if you want to expand your reach. Unless you've already posted there; I can't tell since I don't sp...

Re: Shades of Grey?

I wonder how they chose names when they "create" new places. Why was part of Australia called New Wales and you've got New Jersey, New England, there's a London in Canada? It's curious.

I can still be a pear without an avatar.

"St. Petersburg, FL"? St. Petersburg is in Russia! What does the FL stand for? This confuses me.

... Oh yeah! Welcome! I can't particularly add any more than what the two posts above have.

They do accept "letters to the editor(s)" and Ellie is always looking for feedback. I particularly liked Siggy's comment about how fictional-centred (post date: 04 Feb 2011, 01:40) the zine is. I do agree, a better balance is needed, but what else is there to write about non-fictional? Blo...

Re: Benedict Cumberbatch on Alan Carr Show

The only issue I have here is that the actor in question after being thanked by these people didn't really bother to research asexuality. I've never seen the show myself but if he cared he would have bothered. Whoever wrote him as an asexual should be framed in everybody's avatars. :D So Mark Gatiss...

Why does that statement seem to heavily imply you can't be an arsehole and be reborn from a religious sector? Maybe that's just me.

Nice to see you again.

It should say on the installation disc/package how many computers you're allowed to use it for but you can use it until the end of time for the non-internet connected ones.

Re: dreams

I have regular sexual dreams. I forget the majority of them unless they're something interesting.

They aren't "wet dreams" - they're just dreams that have sex in them. Probably the difference between films with sex scenes and pornography films. That analogy half works and half doesn't...

Re: the invisible ace

My own visible asexuals are people I've met over AVEN or via the meetups. It doesn't particularly change my daily routine... just that some people on my mobile contact list are asexual.

Currently romance isn't a big thing to me since I'm not interested in anybody so it doesn't affect me so much.

I worked in a computer shop for a while and it's fine. Actually you can *cough*legally*cough* use the same product key on different computers as long as only one of them is hooked to the internet as that's how Windows finds you and kills you... I mean.... closes your computer.

Re: the touchy-feely thread

I mention cats because I do love stroking them and hugging them and I know it isn't the same as human-human contact but it's still pretty good. This brings two rather interesting thoughts. As I stated, I rather dislike being touched. That being said, I enjoy touching people who do like it. Giving b...

I'm a cuddle slut. You should see me at meets... Understatement. I'm pretty much the same as Joseph. I go a bit crazy after a while if I don't get a hug - probably one reason I went crazy at university (three months with few hugs and no cats). I mention cats because I do love stroking them and hugg...

Queer isn't an insult here. I think the closest is faggot. You can say it in a good way but it's probably the most "insulting".

Updating of the AVENwiki

I know the AVENwiki is part of AVEN and all but it's a very good resource and the new group of PT are knuckling down and cleaning up much of it. Anyway, there's this page on Apositive: http://www.asexuality.org/wiki/index.php?title=Apositive Which as you may note is rather empty. Perhaps, is it poss...

I still don't understand why you don't all go to whatisgender.net The majority of members there aren't a binary gender and they've been wondering how to get more traffic. Surely you going there would make sense. Just saying.

Really I just wanted to open up a thread asking for documentaries to watch. I'm in a crazy documentary mood so titles, give me, now. I figured it'd be better to open this up to culture in general. I have a love/hate relationship with it. I do a lot of work involving computers, so I can't really get away from them. I do sometimes wish I could, though. Why do I get the feeling this is a bad idea?

This is mainly AVEN news (not even news but it's an idea people are taking seriously) and it's the main hub for asexual activity - surely it's the first place people go when they hear of asexuality. Yes, so in a way it affects the community. AVEN mascot. The PT are taking it seriously but if it does...

Why are sexual thoughts called 'dirty'?

After reading some posts on AVEN, I have become confused. Simply that people feel dirty after having sexual thoughts or dreams and I don't understand. To me 'dirty' implies a negative and why is it negative? Dreams you can't control so beating yourself up for those would be rather illogical and the ...
