Which theme works best for you?

We are limited in terms of the number of themes currently available for this modified version of the forum software but I have installed a selection of the best for you to try out. We need to decide which single theme will work best for most people, as maintenance is much easier if we just use one t...

Re: Problem while viewing in Safari

They haven't been ported to the Portal XL setup, so they wouldn't work. I think we are probably going to have some layout issues with any theme because not all browsers parse style data in exactly the same way (yet). We're best off choosing the theme that works best for everyone. I have a few others...

Does that happen on the portal page AND the forum index?

We can always try a different theme.

Well, whadaya know? There was an option in the Admin Control Panel to fix this very issue. I just hadn't spotted it before because the description of it isn't very helpful. I guess I can delete the duplicate forum, now. :)

Re: Small bug with Blog Post comments

Yeah, that is a pain. I originally thought that the first post in the topic would appear on the front page but then I found out that wasn't the case, hence the current set up. One option may be to delete the link and comment count from the front page template and just remember to always add a link a...

On seeking causes of orientation

[This post was originally written by site member Omnes et Nihil on March 13, 2008] http://www.apositive.org/images/blogposts/heteropedestal-fsm.jpg The real question is why people are looking for a “cause” of sexual orientation, or specific sexual orientations, to begin with. Proof or no proof is co...

A love so true?

[This post was originally written by site member Spin on March 5, 2008] http://www.apositive.org/images/blogposts/true.jpg My partner once remarked that since an asexual person’s love wasn’t about sexual attraction, it must be something more real and deep. The New Site: Some Helpful Pointers

Welcome to the new and improving Apositive! First off, I know it looks a little messy and cluttered right now but that' something I'll work on over the next couple of weeks. The newly upgraded forum software means that all site content can be managed from one installation rather than the previous se...

Site Upgrade & Scheduled Downtime

Please be aware that the site is likely to be down for at least 12 hours this Saturday, and possibly all day, whilst I upgrade the forum software in an attempt to integrate all parts of the site into one single interface. Hopefully everything will be back in order (though lookly very different!) on ...

Re: Looking for Understanding (Translation: Newbie)

Hello Xandra. I'm sure you'll find that there are plenty of people in the asexual community who will be able to relate to your story. I know I can! I know several asexual people who are in asexual relationships / marriages (hell, I'm one of them!), so whilst the sparse distribution of the asexual po...

Re: Year in review

I'm definitely not as engaged with the asexuality movement as I used to be (c.2004 - 2005), so I don't think I can really make a list like you have. However, I do think that the introduction of a regular asexual character in NZ Soap Shortland Street is pretty damn significant (no matter how you feel...

Happy New Year to you all! Just thought I'd let y'all know that I've renewed the domain and hosting for the site for another year. The question posed on the page that links takes you to is: Should we include asexuals in the LGBT community? I...
