hey, guys

Postby michaels » Mon Jan 13, 2014 5:29 pm

Just checking whether the parachuted aven commandos who have a personal hate-on for me are, to borrow their phrase, still trying to turn Apositive into their personal blog site. I'd prefer to have nothing to do with them, but it remains to be seen whether they will chase me down here again like they did last time.

Much time has passed and much has happened. I found out that I'm not mentally ill but brain-injured from either a car accident in the winter of 1976 or subsequent emergency head surgery, which saved my life but might have crippled my frontal lobes. The injury was being investigated when the lead specialist suddenly started acting nervous and sweaty at appointments and avoiding eye contact with me. So I'm still stuck on a disability check and rotting away in my father's apartment. There is fresh hope I'm not going to discuss publicly in case the Satanically evil filth here in Toronto who have kept my head shoved underwater for 38 years read about it and thwart my attempt to make something of my life yet again. If things work out, however, you'll be the first to know. :)

See you on the forum. If we spoke a couple of years ago when I was last active here, let me know how you've been.

Good to see you again -- I wondered what had happened to you when you vanished so suddenly.
I don't think we have anybody who can qualify as evil but we do have some with strong opinions. I don't think that ever changes.
Strong opinions and AVEN don't seem to work very well together.

I have it from a reputable source that the individuals you are refering to don't, in fact, wear underwear. Thus your "commando" name is apt.

The only blogger here is me :p

I'm going to be really weird and invasive here and ask specifically how and what areas of your frontal lobe were affected and how this has influenced your behaviour. Surprisingly, I am registered to practise as a trainee psychologist and the neuroscience side is fascinating >.< it sucks though. I'm glad you're on your way to finding out the reason for your issues. I know how scary the tests can be (suffered a moderate head injury last Feb). I hope it all comes out well for you.

Lot's of things happened since you left. PIF and Flerg got married and Nancy ditched Kæth and has embarked on a 2 year BDSM style relationship with a loaf of bread (me).

Just so you know, I am completely sane.
You're all dead and I'm your eternal punishment.

Thanks for your responses, guys.

I had a head MRI, an ambulatory EEG, a sleep-deprived EEG and a contrast MRI. They found a "bubble" in my white matter in the frontal lobe that is filled with cerebrospinal fluid rather than brain tissue. The neurologist looked very nervous and avoided eye contact during the last appointment, when he told me no further investigation and no treatment were needed.

In the winter of 1976, when I was 10 years old, I was crossing the street when I was hit by a car and struck my head on the pavement. I suffered a ruptured blood vessel in my forehead that required emergency surgery. It's not clear whether the blood clot or the surgery resulted in the brain damage, but the surgeon was a fellow named Hoffman, who is now a senior executive at the same hospital where he was the hotshot young surgeon who operated on me, which was the Hospital for Sick Children here in Toronto. My neuro's nervousness is understandable as he's probably afraid for his career.

I had significant mental issues throughout my teens and was (mis?) diagnoses with schizophrenia in 1991. The psychiatrist who diagnosed me did a very basic EEG of the kind that were available back then and found nothing. I have for a long time suspected that I don't really have schizophrenia, and am now fairly convinced that I have a brain injury instead, but a coverup by high-level medical executives is preventing me from getting proper treatment.

If you are a loaf of bread, do you need to be toasted before being eaten? Kidding. :)
