Speaking to some American friends, they were not sure where Britain fits in the world.

I said using gdp, Britain is the 5th largest economy in the world but the entire united kingdom will fit into Wyoming..they seem confused by this but even more confused when I said Australia was the 12th biggest economy in the world but the U.S.A and Australia are almost the exact same size.

This confused them as they thought Britain was a huge place and Australia was a small place....you live and learn.
